Ralph Joseph Cuevas, age 73, of Long Beach, passed away on August 28, 2011 in Long Beach.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile Cuevas and Annie Allen Cuevas; two brothers, Everett Cuevas and John J. ""Dude"" Ryan; and a sister, Inez Waltman.
He is survived by his children, Michael R. Cuevas of Long Beach and David W. Cuevas of Gulfport; three grandchildren, Michael J. Cuevas of Long Beach, Dara A. Cuevas of Woolmarket, and Kayla M. Cuevas of Long Beach; a sister, Jeanette McGowan of Woolmarket; ten loved nieces and nephews; and his longtime companion, Elizabeth A. ""Betty"" Flenniken of Long Beach.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service, downtown Gulfport, after 37 years, having served as Postmaster.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd, Long Beach with a visitation at the funeral home chapel from 10:00 AM until the service. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery.
