Rae Schmidt

Rae Marie Schmidt, age 77, of Cantonment, FL, passed away on March 25, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Stachowski; her parents, Raymond and Frances Bouman; her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy March and Edward March; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Josef and Elisabeth Schmidt
Survivors include her husband, Josef Schmidt; three children, Cindy (David) Brown, Becky Comeaux, and Walter A. (Helga) Schmidt; her brother, Bill (Kathy) Bouman; seven grandchildren, Cassandra (Sam) Johnson, Christopher (Kaitlyn) Brown, Nicole (Bryan) Osterhage, Joelle Comeaux, Ryan Stachowski, Jason (Eileen) Stachowski, and Michael (Antonia) Schmidt; five great-grandchildren, Paisley Comeaux, Luke Comeaux, Grant Osterhage, Aurelia Schmidt, and Eleanora Schmidt; one nephew, Eddie March; one niece, Heidi (Rick) Elmer; and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Schmidt was an active member of Nativity Catholic Church, Pensacola, FL, where she served as a member of the bereavement committee and was a volunteer at the Alfred Washburn Center. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, sewing, and building miniature doll houses.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Friday, March 31, 2017, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 East Beach Blvd., Long Beach, MS, 39560. Visitation will be from 10 am - 10:30 am in the church.
