Provis Peterson

Provis James Peterson, age 81, of Dedeaux, passed away on June 24, 2022.

Mr. Peterson was born in Hancock County and retired from MDOT.  He enjoyed gardening and going to the casino.  He was member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dedeaux.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sullivan Joseph Peterson and Mary Ponolia Ladner Peterson; sisters, Nolena Ladner and Jewel Perrone; brothers, Houston Peterson, Ervin Peterson, Joe Pete Peterson.

He is survived by his wife 59 years, Myra Necaise Peterson; children, Lisa Peterson Seals (Kenny) and Byron Peterson (Sonya); grandchildren, Ken Seals (Lauren), Lauren McGill (TJ), Morgan Penton (Adam); great grandchildren, Makaylah and McKenna McGill; sisters, Helen Necaise and Betty Nell Necaise; Brother, Vermon Peterson (Sally); special niece, Jill Ladner and a large extended family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian, from 6-9 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dedeaux at 11:00 am where friends may visit from 10-11 am. Burial will follow in Alphonse Malley Cemetery.
