Preston John Cuevas, Sr., 71, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018 at his home in Pass Christian.
Mr. Cuevas was a native of Lizana and a long-time resident of Pass Christian. He was a graduate of Harrison Central High School. Mr. Cuevas retired after a long career in Supervision of Industrial Mechanical Fabrications. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and master video poker player; and was a coach and active member of youth associations.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Provis and Belena Cuevas; brother, Purvey Cuevas; and sister, Helena Babin. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Judy Cuevas; children, Saranda Cuevas (Kelvin), John Cuevas (Marie), Jarrod Cuevas (Sonja), and Dewanna Kowalski; siblings, Jarvis Cuevas (Merle Dean), Bernell Cuevas, Prentiss Cuevas (Deborah), and Darcy Cuevas (Kathy); 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and expecting twins and his faithful pet Lily.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 29th at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 30th at the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Pass Christian, where friends may visit one hour prior.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Hearts for their care of our Pops. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to these organizations: Juvenile Diabetes Association, The Children's Hospital and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
