Pomlone Paul Ladner

Pomlone Paul Ladner, age 73, of Kiln, entered eternal rest on Friday, August 9, 2024. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pomlone and Luvenia Ladner; his sister, Thelma Ladner (Eddie); his brothers, L.J. Ladner, L.B. Ladner (Linda Faye, deceased), and Weston Ladner (Adell, deceased); his grandson, Bryant Longest; nephew, Chad Deslatte; and his niece, Amanda Deslatte. 

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Brenda Ladner; sons, Paul Trent Ladner, Schran Ladner (Stephanie), and Schman Ladner; his daughter, Schalissa Ladner (Godtfried); brother, Norman Ladner (Faye, deceased); sister, Mary Deslatte (Larry); grandchildren, Felicia Ladner, Kaylan Ladner, Danielle Ladner, Kayde Ladner, Gabrielle Evans, Cameron Ladner, Cassandra Cotten, and Chad Longest; great-grandchildren, Braylen Evans, Kolsen Evans, Jensen Evans, Kysen Evans, Acelynn Ladner, Laelynn Ladner, A'nijah Harper, Sophia Alejandro, Samuel Cotten, Nathaniel Frederick, Bentley Longest, Kameron Longest, Elaina Longest, Gabriel Longest, and Najla Longest; and his nephew Bubba, who was his "Ride or die".

Paul was a resident of Kiln, Mississippi, and played basketball in high school. He was a heavy equipment operator, a Hancock County Constable, and drove a school bus. He enjoyed football and horse racing and loved to dance and listen to music. Paul attended St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, White Cypress. 

Paul's life was marked by his radiant personality and deep love for Christ, his family, and his friends. His sense of humor and his hilarious jokes brought joy to all who knew him. His dogs, Tosha and Gracey were his cherished companions, staying by his side until his final moments. 

"Thank you, Dad, for all that you were and all that you gave. You are loved beyond measure and will be missed more than words can say. You will be remembered and cherished. Love and light on this, your final journey."

Visitation for Mr. Ladner will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, beginning at 10:00 AM at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, White Cypress. A Mass of Christian Burial is being celebrated at 11:30 AM. Burial will be at Alphonse Malley Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chad Longest, Cameron Ladner, Bubba Ladner, and Darrin "Bo" Ladner. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Trent Ladner and Schman Ladner. 

Riemann Family Funeral Home, Pass Christian, is honored to serve the Ladner family.
