Pietro Formica

Chief Master Sergeant (Retired) Pete Formica, age 83, died peacefully at his home Saturday, September 22, 2018, cared for by his loving and devoted wife, Bobbie.
He was a graduate of Winooski High School and attended college at William and Mary and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi. He served on active duty with the United States Air Force for 30 years serving multiple tours in Southeast Asia during the Korean War and Vietnam War. He finished his military and civilian civil service at Keesler Air Force base, retiring in Biloxi and Ocean Springs. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, son, relative, and friend to all.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Conrad and Mabel Gibbons Formica; and a brother, Conrad "Sonny" Formica.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie Jean Formica of Wiggins, MS; four daughters, Mary Formica of Jackson, MS, Teresa Formica of Gulfport, MS, Cierra (Sam) Powell of Biloxi, MS, and Mollee Formica of Wiggins, MS; four sons, Pete Formica Jr. of Perdido Key, FL, Anthony "Tony" Formica of Biloxi, MS, Conrad Formica of Ocean Springs, MS, and Chase Formica of Wiggins, MS; along with six step-children, Melissa (Wade) Schroeder of Perkinston, MS, Tonya (Rodney) Sleaseman of Ocean Springs, MS, Tina Heathcoe of Wiggins, MS, Shannon (Joey) Harwell of Biloxi, MS, Richard (Jennifer) Bond of Wiggins, MS, Billy (Melinda) Murphy of Biloxi, MS; along with many grandsons, granddaughters, other family members, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday September 25, 2018, from 6:00 PM until 8:00PM, at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd Biloxi. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home chapel,  with a visitation from 12:00 PM until the service. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
