Phyllis Jean O'Connor Sisson, age 85, of Gulfport, passed away on June 4, 2012, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Sisson was born in Minnesota to Edward and Katherine Neibauer O'Connor. She served as Election Commissioner for Harrison County for many years in District 2. She enjoyed playing golf and bridge and was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport. ""Heaven has another Saint.""
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Jessica Hope Allen; and 10 siblings.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, John Palmer ""Jack"" Sisson of Gulfport; children, Robert Allen Joseph Sisson of Gulfport, and Elizabeth Ann ""Betsy"" Karl (Wayne)of Saucier; sister, June Allen; and grandson, Christopher Shay Smith; great grandson, Tyler Elija Smith.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012, at St. James Catholic Church, Gulfport, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be after 12:15 p.m.
Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
