Phyllis Cardy

Phyllis Ann Cardy, age 81 of Saucier, MS, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.  Wake and funeral services are pending.
Phyllis was born May 18, 1937 in Dubuque, Iowa, first daughter of Clarence (Pete) and Mary (Davis) Ostrander.  She married douglas Cardy on August 5, 1956.
Phyllis moved south over 50 years ago.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, and sister.  She spent many weekends going to the Smoky Mountains (a place she loved).  On occasion she would come back home to visit family.  Phyllis worked as a waitress for many years at the Waffle House.
She loved cleaning house, cooking big meals for everyone to enjoy and talking on the phone.  She was a person who never sat still and if anyone mentioned traveling, she threw her shoes on and was ready to go.  Those left to cherish her memories include her children, John (Lisa) Cardy, Mary (Paul) Schell, Jeff (Joann) Cardy, Mike Cardy, and Ralph Cardy; fifteen grandchildren; two sisters; and five brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, one brother; one sister; and three children, Douglas (Casey) Cardy, Donald Cardy, and Deborah Cardy Morris.
