Peter Christie

Peter Christie, age 91 of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving wife and close friends on Saturday, September 18, 2021.

Peter was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 25, 1930, to the late William Cuca and Eva Grozak Cuca. He served in three branches of the United States Military, beginning with the United States Navy, where he enlisted in 1946. He then went on to join the United States Army, where he was a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne. Lastly, he served in the United States Air Force, where he retired in 1971. After his retirement from the United States Air Force, he served ten years with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in Washington, DC, and then retired to Gulfport, Mississippi.

After retirement, Peter enjoyed playing golf and was named a hall of fame bowler by the American Bowling Congress (ABC).

Peter is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John; and a sister, Ann.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frances Ann Christie of Gulfport, Mississippi; and a sister, Mary, of California.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Biloxi.  The funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM at the funeral home chapel.  Interment with honors will follow at 11:00 AM, at Biloxi National Cemetery.
