Pervis Ray Landry, age 91, of Gulfport, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012.
Mr. Landry was born in Erath, LA, to Avenelle and Adeliade Bernard Landry. Before retirement, he worked at MGCCC as Media Coordinator . He enjoyed gardening and crossword puzzles and was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gulfport. He was a very generous man, supporting many different missions.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ernestine Landry; his daughter, Susan Powell; stepson, Derril Cannon; his brothers, Irby and Clyde Landry.
He is survived by his children, Deborah Fortenberry of Vancleave, Marcella Spinnato of Gulfport, Cathy Quinn of Gulfport, Joseph Landry of Gulfport, and Peter Landry of Gulfport; his sister, Yvonne Trahan of Lafayette, LA; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, October 4, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, DePew Road, Gulfport, at 2:00 p.m. Friends may visit one hour prior to services.
Burial will be at a later date in Wharton, TX.
