Perrin Donald "Don" Thomas, a cherished member of his community and a devoted family man, passed away on October 5, 2024, at the age of 80. He was born on October 23, 1943, and grew to be a remarkable individual whose passions and skills left an indelible mark on those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Thomas; father, Perrin H. Thomas; mother, Sally K. Eckles; son, Jeff Thomas; and brother, Daniel Thomas.

Don is survived by his children, Robert Thomas (Shelly), Perrin Thomas, Jr. (Susie), Greg Thomas (Kathy), and Kaye Stanley (Brad); grandchildren, Bobby (Christina), Danny, Ashton, Tyler (Julie), Paul, Derrick (Cheyanna), and Brandon Stone (Valerie); great grandchildren, Kaylee, Emily, Carsyn, Mackenzie, Drew, Cooper, Cameron, Braidy, Bella, Bajah, Banks, Bianca, Jex, Lila, Jarvis, Evalynn, Juliet, Makenzie, and Makayla; great great granchildren, Ellie, Kirby, Brooklyn, and Noah; and special friend and neighbor, Sean Streaker.

Don was a graduate of Jackson High School, where he the foundation for a that encompassed various endeavors. Don served in the United States Navy. He became a respected auto mechanic, utilizing his technical expertise and keen problem-solving abilities to serve countless customers over the years. In addition to his work as a mechanic, Don owned a pet shop that fostered a love for animals in many families. His entrepreneurial spirit also led him to open an auto body repair shop, where he continued to showcase his craftsmanship and dedication.

Beyond his professional life, Don had a deep-seated passion for restoring classic cars and street rods. This hobby not only reflected his love for automobiles, but it also provided him with the joy of bringing old vehicles back to life, a creative outlet that he cherished. Those who were fortunate enough to witness his craftsmanship knew that each project held a special place in his heart. Don was also known for his culinary skills, often delighting family and friends with his cooking. 

As Don rests now, he leaves behind a legacy of hard work, creativity, and kindness. His contributions to both his profession and personal relationships will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
