Peggy Ann Williams, born to Zelda and Harry Clothier in Binger, Oklahoma, January 26, 1933, died at home, Sunday, December 26, 2010, at 77 after prolonged dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
Peg was a devoted military wife, great Mom, teacher, artist, seamstress, and avid golfer. Peggy lived in Japan and the Philippines, even going to Saigon during the Viet Nam war. She completed college while in Manila, graduating suma cum laude from Philippine Women's University. Peggy taught school in the Philippines, California, Maryland, and South Carolina and substituted at Diamondhead Academy. She was a member of Fort Bonafacio, Club De Saigon, Tantallon Country Club, Bay Tree Plantation, and Diamondhead Golf Associations. She was a founding member of the Crew of Tiki and an original Strutter for the Krewe of Selene where she served as Maid in 2001. She was a Red Cross volunteer at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, for over ten years.
She is survived by her husband of over 59 years, Bill Williams; her daughter, Annette Williams; son in law, Mark A. Miller; and her brother, Jack Clothier.

There will be a celebration of Peggy's life held on Sunday, January 2, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Diamondhead Community Center.
