Peggy Anna Irbe, a beloved member of the community, passed away on July 20, 2024 She was born on May 8, 1945, in Indianapolis, IN. Peggy led a fulfilling life filled with diverse career experiences and a range of hobbies and interests that brought her joy.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 33 years, Andre H. Irbe; children, Christopher & Regina Lewis, Catherine & Anthony Arnone, Jason Wilkinson, and her four-legged fur babies, "Abby Dabby Doo" & Emily, her cat; and grandchildren, Lena & Kristin Lewis, Azalea Schilling, and Jadon & Keira Wilkinson.

Throughout her career, Peggy served in various roles that showcased her dedication and work ethic. She worked as a clerk for St. Vincent Hospital in Los Angeles, CA, and transitioned to becoming a groomer at Tropicana pet store in Montrose, CA. Peggy was a secretary for Livingston and Wells Law Firm, Los Angeles, CA. She worked as an office assistant for the Marion County Mental Health Department and as a scheduling coordinator for Indiana University Dental School on the IUPUI Campus. Peggy's entrepreneurial spirit shone through as she became the sole proprietor of Paw Purrfect Pet Shop in Greencastle, IN, and Crawfordsville, IN.

Education played an essential role in Peggy's life. She completed her high school education in Edgerton, Ohio, and Plainfield, Indiana. Peggy then embarked on her academic journey by attending Purdue University for her freshman year.

Peggy had a deep love for animals which was evident through her proud accomplishments at numerous dog shows where she won various awards and designations for her beloved St. Bernard's. In addition to her career achievements, Peggy enjoyed indulging in hobbies such as bird watching, gardening and horticulture, and listening to music.

Peggy Anna Irbe will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving family and friends who will cherish the memories they shared with her. May she rest in peace knowing that she touched the lives of many with her kindness and passion for animals. Through her work and hobbies, Peggy leaves behind a legacy that will always be remembered fondly by those fortunate enough to have known her.

There will not be a service for Mrs. Irbe.
