Peggy Hart Ball Foster, 75, of Gulfport, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010 in Gulfport.
Ms. Foster was born in Collins, MS . She gratuated from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing at USM in Hattiesburg, MS. Her passion in life was serving others as a registered nurse for 55 years; serving in many capasities, from staff nursing to teaching nursing students, director of nursing, and nursing supervisor. For the past eight years she was one of the nursing supervisors at Garden Park Medical Center in Gulfport, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. L.R. Ball; and her parents, Carlton N. Hart, Jr. and Frances Ruth Hart.
She is survived by her children, Karen Ball Stroud, Teresa Ball Allen, Richard Ball, and Tommy Ball all of Gulfport; her twin sister, Tommie Somerfield of Gainesville, FL; her brother, Carlton N. Hart, III of Tampa, FL; her grandson, Carter Joseph Allen of Gulfport; three nieces; one great niece; and two great nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Garden Park for the wonderful care and compassion given to her during her illness, and to her family during this difficult time.
A private family service will be held Saturday, May 8, 2010 in Ellisville, MS. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOMES, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507.
