Mrs. Pauline Elizabeth Green Overby, age 92, resident of Gulfport, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011.
Mrs. Overby was born in Collins, MS to Robert Bafton Green, Sr. and Willie D. Womack Green. She had been a resident of the Coast since the early 1940's. She had been a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church in Gulfport for over 60 years, where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and had helped in many church activities. She had a strong faith obtained from the hours she spent studying the Bible. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Lee Overby, Sr.; brothers, Bob Green, Hank Green, and Neal Green; and great grandson, Reeves Fairley.
She is survived by her children, Bob Overby (Lanette) of Mars Hill, NC, Billy Overby (Sylvia) of Biloxi, and Carol Price (Glenn) of Saucier; her sister, Norma Wood of Troy, AL; grandchildren, Gary Overby, Richard Overby, Julie Young (Alan), Paul Overby (Freda), Nancy Saucier (Keith), Melinda Fairley (Brent), Randy Price (Kassi), and Stacy Harrison (Deano); 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, where friends may visit from 1-2 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m.
Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Broadmoor Baptist Church, 1902 Kelly Avenue, Gulfport, MS 39501.
