Paula "Sherry" Ayotte, 71, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away on November 15, 2018 after fighting a courageous battle against health issues the past few years.
Sherry was born on October 14, 1947, in Huntsville, Alabama. Her family was military and traveled all across the world, living in Austria, Germany and Alaska. She graduated from Harrison Central High School in 1967 and later worked in civil service for 10 years before eventually becoming a homemaker.
She met the love of her life, Edward Ayotte on Valentine's Day and later married him that same year on April 2
nd
in 1976; they were married 42 years.
Sherry had a passion for animals, helping others and made friends with everyone she met. She played an instrumental part in the founding of Harrison County Habitat for Humanity along with her husband in the late 1980's. She was an avid supporter of the Girl Scouts and served as a Troop Leader.
Sherry is survived by her best friend & husband of 42 years Edward Ayotte; only child, Jennifer Bryant (Wade); 2 granddaughters Scarlett & Stella; sisters, Mary Dean Sharpe (Larry) and Gloria Jean Coffey (Ray); stepmother, Dagmar Lang.
Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Sukow & Louis Lang; as well as her stepfather, Boyd Sukow.
