Paul Robert Lucker, DDS, son of the late Paul Clement Lucker and Amelia Olivard "Tutti" Lucker, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at the age of 83. Paul was born September 28, 1935. Born in La Ceiba, Honduras, he was a longtime resident of New Orleans, Louisiana. Paul was married to Gaye Anne Lazaroe on August 20, 1960. Paul earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University - Baton Rouge in 1959 and graduated from Loyola University School of Dentistry - New Orleans in 1962. He was a Captain in the US Army, 4th Infantry Division, Dental Corps, stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington from 1962 - 1964.
Paul was active in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Parish in Slidell, Louisiana where he became a 4th Degree Knight with Knights of Columbus and Holy Family Catholic Church Parish in Pass Christian, Mississippi. Paul Lucker raised his family in Slidell, Louisiana where he practiced dentistry for 25 years. He owned Lucky's Video in Waveland, Mississippi from 1985-2000 and Painless Windshield Repair in Diamondhead, Mississippi from 2000 - 2012. Paul was a loving family man and enjoyed fishing, hunting, snow skiing and traveling. Everyone who knew him fondly remembers his jokes, laughter and fun-loving nature.
Paul is survived by his wife, Gaye Lazaroe Lucker; children, Jan Lucker Herrington, and husband Danny, and Craig Robert Lucker, and wife Susan; one grandchild, Rachel Elizabeth Lucker; sister, Karen Lucker Gravois; brother-in-law, Donald Lazaroe; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their spouses, great nieces, great nephews, and a host of friends and neighbors -- all whom he dearly loved.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, October 20, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 12 Noon, all at Holy Family Catholic Church, Pass Christian, Mississippi, located at the corner of Menge Road and Evangeline. (22342 Evangeline Rd, Pass Christian). The Mass will be followed by a Celebration of Life held at Holy Family Ministry Center. Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Paul to a charity of your choice.
