Paul Cuevas

Paul Ray Cuevas, a pharmacist for CVS and a life-long resident of Picayune, MS, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 in Slidell, LA at the age of 60 from complications resulting from the COVID-19 virus which he contracted while at work.

Paul was born in Picayune, MS on June 17, 1960 to Arthur & Myrtle (Peterson) Cuevas. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in May of 1986 with a Doctor of Pharmacy. Paul married Myra Caroline McCaleb in Mobile, AL on November 15, 1986, and they were later blessed with a son, Michael, and a daughter, Rachel. He worked for K&B Pharmacy/Rite Aid for 21 years before joining CVS.

Paul professed his faith in Jesus Christ at a young age and sought to live his life in line with his Savior’s teachings. He loved the outdoors including hunting and fishing and was known for his kind, gentle way and his easy-going approach to life.

Paul is survived by his wife Myra Cuevas of Picayune, MS; son, Michael Cuevas of Lehi, UT; daughter, Rachel Cuevas of Edmond, OK; mother, Myrtle Cuevas of Picayune, MS; two brothers, Clint (Jean) Cuevas of Picayune, MS and Tim (Cindy) Cuevas of Perkinston, MS; sister, Darlene (Arthur) Hurst of Fayetteville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his father Arthur Cuevas.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 5-7pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Rd, Pass Christian, MS with the funeral service on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 10:00am.
