Paul Burfield

SSG, Paul Douglas Burfield, age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 13, 2022 in Gulfport, MS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Marie Baker Burfield; his brother, Richard Burfield; and his grandson, Steven Lassalle.

Paul is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sandra “Sandy” Burfield; his children, Kerry Fuller (Debra), Kimberly Phelps and Michael Fuller (Pamela); his grandchildren, Michael Fuller, Jeffrey Fuller, Megan Redwood, Christine Lassalle, Nicholas Lassalle, Noah Phelps, Robert Phelps, and Alec Fuller; his great-grandchildren, Brandon Redwood, Zade Fuller, Adalynn Lassalle and Eli Lassalle, and also survived by his brother, Robert Burfield .

Paul was a Life member of the VFW Post 6731 of D’Iberville, MS, member of the NRA, American Legion Post 33 in Biloxi, MS and member of the pipefitters union. Paul, a Vietnam Veteran, proudly served his country in the U S Army, Army National Guard and Air Force Reserves. He was a member of the National Guards shooting team, and in 1986 he was the National Team Champion.

Riemann Family Funeral Home, West Jackson County, served the family.  A graveside service will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery at a later date.  Memories may be shared at www.riemannfamily.com
