Paul """"Speed-Bump"""" Belisle, age 75 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Thursday, November 20, 2008, in Gulfport.
Mr. Belisle was a native of Saco, ME and had been a resident of Gulfport since 1975. He retired from the United States Air Force after serving 27 years, including two(2) tours of duty during the Vietnam War. He had been employed at the former Gulf Coast Medical Center in the Maintenance Department, and was the former owner/operator of Tri-Service Rental in Biloxi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland & Dorothy Precourt Belisle and his daughter, Denise Roznowski.
Mr. Belisle is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joanne Chartier Belisle of Gulfport; his son, Art (Cathy) Belisle of Gulfport; his son-in-law, Steve Roznowski of Yorktown, VA; his brother, Roland Belisle of Kennebunkport, ME; his five grandchildren, Kelli, Brian, Kayla, Matt, and John; and one great-grandchild due in January.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Canon Hospice, 1520 Broad Avenue, Suite 500, Gulfport, MS 39501.
