Patsy Hayes

December 27, 1931 — September 18, 2010

Loving daughter, beloved wife, devoted mother and grandmother, Patsy Artimese Saucier Hayes, born on December 27, 1931, went to her Heavenly Father on September 18th, 2010 surrounded by her family. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Norman Joseph and Carrie Krohn Saucier of Saucier, Mississippi; brothers Lewis Joseph Saucier of Durham, North Carolina and Norman Benis Saucier of Saucier, Mississippi; a sister, Carolyn Emogene Cochran of Lexington, Kentucky; and a daughter Patti Elaine Pridham of Jacksonville, Florida. She leaves behind husband Robert Earl Hayes of Saucier, Mississippi; son Paul Robert Hayes of Alexandria, Virginia; granddaughter Sydney Noelle Pridham and grandson Jeremy David Pridham of Jacksonville, Florida; grandson Nicholas Robert Hayes of Alexandria, Virginia; and her sister Iva Lois Rice of Concord, California.
Patsy spent her early working life as a Procurement Officer for Technical Training and Headquarters Air Training Command in San Antonio, Texas. From 1963 until her death, she was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother as the family moved frequently for the rest of their Air Force career. Her greatest passions were needle work, gardening and visiting with her children as they lived in Illinois, Minnesota, Texas, Maine, Virginia and Florida. Many trips to visit Emogene and Jim Cochran in Kentucky; their daughter Heather and Adam Smith in Jackson, Mississippi; and Iva Lois and Dick Rice in California, were most enjoyable for her.
Patsy will be cremated with her remains retained until her husband's death when they will both be placed in the Columbarium at the National Military Cemetery in Biloxi, Mississippi. A memorial service will be held at the family home on December 27th, 2010 for close friends.
Patsy was a graduate of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at Perkinston, Mississippi. In lieu of flowers, she wished to set up a scholarship for needy students: The Patsy Saucier Hayes Scholarship Fund; Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College; P.O. Box 99; Perkinston, Mississippi 39573.
The RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
