Patrick Mitchum, age 45 of Gulfport, died on Sunday, November 9, 2009, in Needham, AL.
Patrick was currently a nursing student at William Carey University, where he had 7 weeks left before receiving his BSN degree. Also while at William Carey, he was on the President's List, the Dean's List, and he was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Patrick had a long and distinguished career as a surgical technologist prior to entering nursing school.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2009, from 6-8pm at the Courtyard Marriot, 1600 E. Beach Blvd., in Gulfport.
