Patricia Adam Ansardi Zebley, age 69, died the 4th of June, 2011.
She was a native of Plaquemines Parish, LA, and a resident of Ocean Springs, MS, for the past 11 years. It is with great sadness that her family announces her death. She is deeply loved by family and friends who will miss her very much. Patricia was a wonderful, giving person and helped anyone in need. She loved to cook gourmet food, dance, draw, paint and spend time with her family. She was excellent at all of her favorite pastimes, especially when she was cooking.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Robert Andrew Zebley; her children Christopher E. Ansardi, Christine Zebley Carbo, Scott E. Zebley, and Laurie Zebley Darling; grandchildren Joseph C. Ansardi, Jacob Boudreaux, Jack and Tyler Carbo, and Miles and Henry Darling; sister Barbara Adam Anglada (Frank, deceased) and brother Charles J. Adam, Jr. (Joyce); loving nieces and nephews Cynthia A. Smith, Elizabeth A. Deshotel, Susan A. Furlan, Sharon A. Amie, Barbara A. Anglada, Michael Adam, Paul Adam, Donna A. Wilson and Philip Adam; and former husband Edward E. Ansardi, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles J. Adam, Sr. and Thelma Grob Adam; grandparents Stanley Grob, Sr., Lena Cavalier Grob, Louis Adam, Sr., and Mary Virginia Pizani Pier; and godchildren Mark David Adam and Jeanne Adam Frances Barcelona.
Patricia had a distinguished career in the banking industry. She attended Southeastern LA University, Southwestern LA University, LA State University and graduated from LSU's Banking School of the South. She worked in every department of the banking system and became a Vice President at Delta Bank and Regions Bank. After hurricanes Betsy and Camille, Delta Bank loaned Patricia to the Small Business Administration to assist the local community with obtaining SBA loans and credit ratings. She was well respected throughout Plaquemines Parish and had many loyal customers with the bank, school board, and Parish government. She retired in 2001 from Regions Bank in New Orleans, LA, after 34 years of service. Prior to her banking career, she worked for Freeport Sulphur Company for 5 years.
Patricia was involved in various club organizations including the NABW, Institute of Banking, Banking Institute of America, and Securities Industry. In Plaquemines Parish, she served as the Banner Chairwoman and on the finance and liturgy committees of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She was also Secretary of the Belle Chasse Rotary Club. She volunteered at the church fair for Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Belle Chasse, LA and on the Queens, Cookbook and Art committees for the Plaquemines Parish Fair & Orange Festival for many years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society by forwarding a check payable to them at her family address. All monies will be forwarded in her name to the American Cancer Society. Patricia has donated her body for medical research to LSU's Bureau of Anatomical Services in New Orleans, LA.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 8th at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Ocean Springs, MS, and at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 11th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Belle Chasse, LA.
