Patricia S. Varney, known to those who knew her best as Pat, passed away in Mobile, AL on Monday, January 15, 2024, at the age of 70.
Pat is proceeded in death by her parents, Robert S. and Audrey W. Sult.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving and devoted husband of 38 years, George T. Varney; her children, Shannon Satterwhite (Barry), Katie Nicholson (Lamar), and Ashley Vaughan (Walter); and the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Alexander Pride, Brenden Nicholson (Jennifer), Tristen Nicholson, Madison Satterwhite, Lana Beth Nicholson, Carter Nicholson, Christian Vaughan, Aaron Vaughan, and her great grandson, Michael Nicholson. She will also be remembered by her siblings, Connie Valentine and Ronald Sult, along with many dear friends.
Pat was born in Portsmouth, VA., graduated from Western Branch High School, and was a member of Job’s Daughters International. She later attended Ferrum College and Chowan University. She retired from Ingall’s shipbuilding in Pascagoula, MS.
Since her retirement, she loved being with family and friends, spoiling her grandchildren, camping with her husband, traveling, attending high school reunions, going to the beach, spending time at the hunting camp, and of course, watching her favorite station, The Weather Channel!
She was truly one of a kind and will always be remembered for her kindness, her compassion, and her contagious laugh.
We invite friends and family to join us for a visitation on Friday, January 19, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m., Memorial Service honoring her life at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, located at 12872 Lemoyne Blvd., in West Jackson County. Inurnment will take place later in Biloxi National Cemetery.
