Patricia ""Pat"" Taylor, age 74, of Diamondhead passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2011.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Taylorville, Illinois and had lived in Diamondhead, MS for the past 23 years. She was briefly employed by the Naval Oceanographic Office at Stennis Space Center after her husband was transferred there with NASA in 1988. She ultimately retired from the Naval Research Laboratory at Stennis Space Center in 1994.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruth Mitchelson, of Taylorville, Illinois; her husband of 51 years, William ""Bill"" Taylor; two sisters, Betty Ferguson and Dorothy Salmon; and her brother, Jim Mitchelson.
Survivors include her three sons, Scott (Kim) Taylor, John Taylor and William ""Frank"" (Debbie) Taylor III. Mrs. Taylor deeply loved her two grandchildren, Katelyn and Will. She is also survived by her brother, Bob (Bonnie) Mitchelson and two sisters, Donna (Art) Brown, and Marlene Morris.
A Memorial Service will be 11:00 am Monday, August 22, 2011 at the Diamondhead Community Church. Interment will be at a later date in Clinton, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests either donations to the Diamondhead Community Church or the Kidney Foundation.
