Patricia Elizabeth Rieman Owens, age 88 and a resident of Alabama, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 in Mobile.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmore and Mary Humbles.
Mrs. Owens is survived by her husband Joda W. Owens of Alabama; son, Douglas Rieman; step-children, Tina Thayer, Kim Dowers, Debra Runkle, Annie Floyd, and Joseph, Terri, Mike, Paul, Lynda, David, Mathew, and Thomas Owens; 27 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Owens was a veteran of World War II, serving as a WAC in the U.S. Army, where she received the Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon, WAAC Service Ribbon, and Good Conduct Medals.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2008 at Biloxi National Cemetery.
