Tricia Goyette, age 50 of Gulfport, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Josephine Anzalone; her grandfathers, John Anzalone and August Oberender; and her aunt, Dale Hill.
Tricia is survived by her husband of 29 years, Ed Goyette; her parents, Chris and Becky Anzalone; her children, Nick Goyette and Nathan Goyette; her sister, Suzy Hays; her nieces, Sydney and Sophie Hays; her grandmother, Ruth Oberender; her mom’s brother, Rev. Jimmy Hill and his sons, Chris (Mandy) Jackson and Andrew Hill; Scott (Emily) and Lucy, Amos, Nora, and Owen Hill; her mom’s sisters, Patty (Ed) Hesser, Valerie (Cindy) Hill, and Susan Oberender of Florida; and her dad’s sisters, Claire Robier; and Phyllis (Steve) Pasko and their children, Steven, Faith, Jill (John), Paisley, Evie, and Titus Goedeke all of Baltimore, MD.
She earned a Bachelor of Music Therapy at Loyola University, New Orleans, a Masters of Education at William Carey, Specialist of Education at University of Southern Mississippi and a Doctorate of Education at University of Southern Mississippi.
Tricia was a teacher for Biloxi schools and D’Iberville High School for over 20 years and was the Yearbook Advisor at D’Iberville. In her 20 plus years of education, she touched many lives and loved running into her former students to see their accomplishments after graduation.
She was a part of Lions Band All State and traveled to both Taiwan and Europe. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and played trumpet and handbells at Parkway and First Baptist Church of Biloxi
Tricia enjoyed wildlife, hiking and found a new love of the Smoky Mountain. She also enjoyed playing tennis and watching her boys play every sport and do the things they love.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be in honor of Tricia to Loaves and Fishes or Back Bay Mission.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Parkway Baptist Church, Biloxi. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM at the church.
