Patricia "Gail" Chambliss went to her eternal home December 30, 2018. Gail was born March 12, 1957, in Petal, MS, to the late Hershel and Christine Chambliss. A 1975 graduate of Gulfport High, she continued her education receiving her undergraduate degree from USM in 1979, and M.Ed. from William Carey in 1995. She retired from the Gulfport School District in 2011 after teaching at both 28
th
Street Elementary and Gulfport Central Middle School during her 32-year career.
Gail is survived by her brothers, Mike (Cindy) Chambliss and David (Angie) Chambliss. She is also survived by the joys of her life, nephew Jake, and nieces Taylor, Mandy and Abby. She instilled a love of reading in them and proudly supported each by attending their sporting events and dance recitals. Gail also leaves behind beloved aunts, an uncle, cousins, and dear friends.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5 th , at Bayou View Baptist Church, Gulfport, with a visitation for family and friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery.
