Patricia Ann Moscovic Capiola, age 65, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2007. She was born February 16, 1942, in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, daughter of Joseph and Mary Moscovic.
Mrs. Capiola was a nurse by profession for 42 years and retired from the Biloxi Veterans Administration Hospital after 30 years of service.
She is preceded in death by her husband, August James Capiola of Gulfport.
She is survived by her three children, Richard James Capiola of Naples, FL, Nancy Ellen Capiola-Laney of Charlotte, NC, and Andrew Joseph Capiola of Gulfport, MS; her brother, Richard Paul Moscovic of Clarkston, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Olivia Laney, Sophia Laney, Ava Laney, Claira Laney, Lily Capiola, Christopher Capiola, and Leah Capiola. Memorials may be made in her name to the Cancer Research Foundation, Attn: Donations Department, P.O. Box 50226, Henderson, NV 89016-0226, or to Mary's Children Family Center of Michigan (for young adults with brain injuries,) 495 East 14 Mile road, Clawson, MI 48017.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 24, 2007, at Biloxi National Cemetery at 10:00 a.m., where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
