Pamela “Pam” Davenport Shirah Miller, 74 of Kiln passed away on June 30, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. She was born on August 28, 1949, in Independence, Louisiana to the late Junior Patterson & Eva Christine Davenport. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband and father of her 6 children, Foy Shirah Sr.; second husband, Maurice “Marty” Miller; children, Sondra Shirah, and Michael “Mike” Shriah Sr; brother, Michael “Mike” Davenport, and brother in law, Michael “Mike” Rhodes. 

Pam grew up in Coos Bay, Oregon before moving back to Baton Rouge. When she moved back to Baton Rouge that is where she met Foy Shirah in January 1969 and were married for 33 years before his passing, she then remarried in 2004 to Maurice “Marty” Miller until his passing in 2013. 

Pam was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and especially grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to read and be in her garden. Pam attended Faith Assembly of God Church and enjoyed being a part of the Church. She was a loving and caring individual who had a heart of joy and love for raising her children and grandchildren. She was the “Rock” of the family and her memories live on in all of us. Pam will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Pam is survived by her loving children, Sharon (Chris) Carpenter, Becky Shirah Boehnel, Dianna (David) McIver, and Foy Shirah Jr (Dana); grandchildren, Cody Shirah, Brooke (Chase) Bosarge, George Verdin, Michael Shirah II, Christopher (Hannah) Carpenter, Jordan Boehnel, Abigail Verdin, Gavin Shirah, and Jake Strong; great-grandchildren, John Cooper, and Parker; sisters, Patty Rhodes, Peggy (H.L.) Cook, and Theresa Davenport. Pam also leaves behind a host of friends and extended family to cherish her memory. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, from 9-11 am at the Faith Assembly of God Church (18701 MS 43, Kiln, MS 39556). Her Funeral Service will be held at 11 am at the Faith Assembly of God Church with burial to follow at St Joseph – Rotten Bayou Cemetery.
