Officer Branden Paul Estorffe, age 23, of Bay St. Louis, MS, passed away in the line of duty on December 14, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Marilena Hiskey.

Branden is survived by his parents, Ian and Heather Estorffe and Jennifer Gilkerson; his siblings, Lilly and Sophia Estorffe, Jordana and Chloe Gilkerson, and Andrew Porter; his grandparents, Rex and Lynda Estorffe and Tommy and Sheila Burkett; his aunts and uncles, Lauren and Greg Walters, Jennifer and Jason Polk, and Chad Goodfellow; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Branden was a graduate of Slidell High School and later received his Associate of Arts Degree from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.  He was also a graduate of the Harrison County Law Enforcement Training Academy and was the recipient of the firearms award.  He was also a certified NRA handgun expert.  He worked as a Security Forces Officer for the Mississippi Military Department assigned to the Combat Readiness Training Center in Gulfport and was a patrolman for the Bay St. Louis Police Department.

He enjoyed working on cars, firearms, sleeping, being a prankster, and bringing a smile to other people’s faces.

Branden died heroically, showing courage and maturity beyond his 23 years.  His memory will continue to live through his fellow officers that witnessed his compassion for others and skill as a police officer.  It will continue in his sisters that will forever admire his fearlessness and million dollar smile. It will continue with his family and friends knowing Branden died doing his job and protecting his community.  Branden Estorffe will always be remembered as someone that loved children, loved laughter, and loved serving others with humility and honor.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 9:30 am - 12 pm at the Bay St. Louis Community Center, 301 Blaize Ave, Bay St. Louis, MS.  A funeral service will be at 12 pm in the community center.  Interment will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
