Nunzio Joseph Loiacono, died after a brief illness on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 3:30 p.m., age 81. A former resident of Kenner, Louisiana and a resident of Diamondhead, Mississippi, Mr. Loiacono was a businessman and contractor. Beloved husband of Santina Papalia Loiacono and by former marriage to Grace Coco Loiacono. Father of Anthony S. Loiacono, Sr., Nick J. Loiacono, Sr. and Angela Rose Loiacono. Stepfather of Ronald Posey and Johnny Posey. Son of the late Rose Costanza Loiacono and Santo Joseph Loiacono. Grandfather of Anthony S. Loiacono, Jr., Nicholas L. Loiacono, Gino L. Loiacono, Mario L. Loiacono and Nick J. Loiacono, Jr. Step grandfather of Charles Villemeur, III, Jeanne Rillieux, Evan Posey and Jordan Posey. Father in Law of Jan V. Loiacono and Kerri S. Loiacono. Mr. Loiacono was sent from Riemann Family Funeral Home to Lake Lawn Metairie for services. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Friday, December 21, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park. Visitation on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
