Norvell McDonald Brown, age 90, died peacefully on Sunday morning, April 13, 2008 in Wiggins.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Albert 'Bill' Brown, Sr; her father and mother, A.J. and Etta McDonald; five brothers, Claude, Clyde, Kenneth, Albert Earl, and her twin brother, Norman 'Doc' McDonald; her loving sister, Lou Ethel Kirby; and her daughter-in-law, Linda Brown.
She is survived by her six children, Flo Timmons and her husband, Jim, of Dickinson, TX, Bobby Brown and his wife, Judy, of Hattiesburg, Albert 'Billy' Brown, Jr and his wife, Margaret, of White Plains, James 'Jimbo' Brown of Perkinston, and Tom Brown and his wife, Liz, of Perkinston; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered by many friends and her family as a very generous person. She will be remembered by the West Gulfport Senior Citizens group and many of her friends fondly as 'Miss Willie'. Her favorite greeting was 'I love you today'. She was a longtime member of O'Neal Road Baptist Church in Orange Grove and later Unity Baptist Church in McHenry. Until she became ill, she was an active member of the Perkinston Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 11:00 AM where friends may call from 9:30 AM until service time at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Highway 49, Gulfport. Burial will follow at Perkinston Cemetery.
