Mr. Norman Rew Fairley, Sr. age 91, of Saucier, and formerly of Kreole, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010.
Mr. Fairley was born in Basin, MS to Knox and Gertrude Rew Fairley. He served during WWII in the U.S. Army, where he received a Purple Heart. He worked for International Paper for many years before his retirement. He was a member of Saucier United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Madie Ladner Fairley; parents; and grandchild, Stacy Fairley.
Mr. Fairley is survived by his children, Norman R. """"Buddy"""" Fairley, Jr., of Basin, MS, James Kerr Fairley and his wife Becky of Kingwood, TX; sister, Annie Ruth Hill; nephew, Keith Hill grandchildren, Stephanie Faith Dunn, James Kerr Fairley, II, and Lindsey Fairley; 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at Saucier United Methodist Church, at 2 p.m. Friends are invited to visit one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Ladner Cemetery on Herman Ladner Road in Saucier.
