Daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Norma Jean Rutledge devoted her life to her family and God. On March 1st, she went home to God after a battle with cancer. She was 81.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, August Croenne and Michael Rutledge Sr. and her mother and father, Tranquila and Andrew Pattarozzi Sr. She leaves behind 2 children and their spouses, John (Jeanne) and David (Michelle), 4 grandchildren, David Jr., Bradley, Katie and Lauren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Born in Langley, Illinois, she was a beauty queen and a softball player. She was married to August for 28 years until his death and then was married to Mike Rutledge until his death. She was the secretary for the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce for 18 years and then worked at USM-Gulf Park until her retirement. A member of St. Thomas Church in Long Beach, she will be remembered as an avid member and supporter of the Catholic religion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Friday,, March 4, 2016, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9 - 10 am in the church. Burial will be in Long Beach City Cemetery.
