Nona Lee Bass Watts, age 79 and a life-long resident of Long Beach, surrounded by her family, went into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, in Long Beach.
Mrs. Watts is preceded in death by her mother, Artie Bass, her father, Lloyd (Matalie) Bass, her sister-in-law Doris Allen, and her husband of 48 years, Wesley N. Watts.
She is survived by her sons, Sonny (Linda) Watts of Gulfport, and Bruce Watts, Sr. of Long Beach; her daughters, Darlene (Steve) Watts Temple of Gadsen, AL, and Patti Watts Schruff of Pass Christian; her brothers, Reginald (Lottie) Bass Long Beach, Carl (Gay) Bass of Long Beach, B.B. (Nancy) Bass of Gulfport, Troy (Carol) Bass of Ocean Springs; her grandchildren, Wesley L. Watts, Jr., Joey Watts, Mike (Angela) Collins, Gwen (Mike) Bateman, Bruce (Trish) Watts, Jr., Kristen (Hal) Hilton, John Thomas Watts, Audra Watts, Megan Watts Hoda, and Zack Temple; and her great-grandchildren, Courtney Watts, Kailee, Allison and Emily Hilton, Bailey Hoda and Brady Watts.
Mrs. Watts was a member of First Baptist Church of Delisle, and Eastern Star Chapter 306 where she served as past Worthy Matron. She worked for Dr. Rayner for many years. Mrs. Watts loved her family, fishing, and traveling. She was everyone's """"maw maw"""" and was an inspiration, encouragement, and example to many as a joyful and graceful Christian.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 3:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd, Long Beach where friends may visit from 1:00 PM until service time. Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens.
