In keeping with the great Hall tradition of creating excitement on Saturday nights, “NeNe”, as she was affectionately known by her family, became the first of the Hall kids born to Hamilton and Buenos Hall, on Saturday night, April 27th, 1929. For the remainder of her life, she dearly loved her brothers “the Hall boys”, Joe, Tommy, Howell, Red, Bill and Johnny and her sweet baby sister, Gwen.
Nita married a good man, Kenneth Trawick, and for 67 years her happiness and well-being meant more to him than anything. He waited on her until the day he died in 2018. They had 2 kids, Robin and Tim, who turned out to be pretty good.
Ken and Nita lived in Michigan, Alabama, West Virginia, and Texas, and in 1981, settled in Gulfport, Mississippi. Although Nita was significantly impacted by cancer at the age of 40, throughout her life, she helped others and touched the lives of many.
Until her final days, she had a wonderful humor and a kind spirit. She was dearly loved by many, especially her 2 children and their spouses, 8 grandkids, 12 great grandkids and 1 great-great grandkid. She passed peacefully and will be missed. The family is joyful in knowing she is now walking the streets of gold with her parents, husband, brothers, and sister who went before her.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Gulfport. Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport, is serving the family. Memories and condolences may be left at www.riemannfamily.com . In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to your choice of charity.
A special thank you to the loving care she received from her final caregivers at Dunbar Village and Notre Dame Hospice.
