Nina M. Brooks

Nina McClelland Brooks, age 94, a resident of Long Beach, passed away on December 11, 2014 in Long Beach.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cloice W. Brooks; and five siblings.
Nina is survived by her children, Peggy Brooks of Gentryville, IN and Charlie (Melody) Brooks of Long Beach, MS; a sister, Anne McClelland Braford of Natural Bridge, VA; and two grandchildren, Jeremy Brooks and Joel Brooks.
She was born in Natural Bridge, VA on July 17, 1920 and married C. W. Brooks in 1949. Nina was very active in community and social activities and an avid supporter of the Girl Scouts, 4-H Club, and PTA. She was also a member of, the Eastern Star and DAR.
She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, Long Beach where she participated and held office in the United Methodist Women, O.A.K.S, and the Good News Sunday School Class.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd, Long Beach.
A service will be held at High Bridge Presbyterian Church in Virginia in the spring.
