Neoma Sims Gazzier, age 85 and a resident of Long Beach, died on Sunday, November 6, 2011, in Long Beach.
Mrs. Gazzier was a native and lifelong resident of Pass Christian and was a member of First Baptist Church in Pass Christian. She loved to travel, boating, and spending time on the water, especially spending time in the Pass Christian Harbor.
Mrs. Gazzier was preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Essie Easterling Sims and her brother, Johnny ""Johnny Boy"" Sims.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Roux of Long Beach; her grandchildren, Rochele (Matt) Hughes, and their children, Grayson and Jett all of Pass Christian, and Eric Davis of Gulfport; her brothers, Milton (Joyce) Sims of Wiggins and Roy Sims of Long Beach; her sisters, Irma (George) Gazzier, Margaret Turner, and Hazel Sims all of Gulfport. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Dorle Burton and Glendon White for their loving care, compassion, and friendship.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at 7:00pm at First Baptist Church in Pass Christian, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
It was Mrs. Gazzier's wishes that her cremated remains be scattered in the area south of the Pass Christian Harbor.
The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach, assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
