Nellie V. Williams, 97, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 31, 2008, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Williams was born in Wiggins, MS and had been a resident of Gulfport since 1933.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Gulfport. She was a member of the Coast Chapter #51 Order of the Eastern Star and a past member of the Gulfport Memorial Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar W. Williams, her parents, Jack and Delilah Lott, her brothers Wilkin, Willard and Johnny Lott, and four sisters, Lilly Bond, Vergie Price, Marjorie Lott and Bertie Davis.
Her survivors include a daughter, Clarice Gustin and husband, Bob of Diamondhead, MS; two grandchildren, Leslie Williams and husband, Gary of Magee, MS and Allan Gustin and wife, Christy of Mobile, AL; five great-grandchildren, Lauren Williams of Magee, MS and Tripp, Shelby, Win and Elizabeth Gustin all of Mobile, AL; sister-in-law, Doris Williams of Gulfport, MS and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The visitation will be Saturday, January 3, 2009, at from 1:00 p.m. aÌ‚â‚"" 2:00 p.m. at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Ten Mile Baptist Church in Perkinston, MS. For more information, please call (228)539-9800.
