Nellie Ruth Carroll

Nellie Ruth Carroll, age 80, of Biloxi, passed away on September 15, 2011 in Biloxi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Verpo Carroll; a daughter, Pamela Yvonne Carroll; her parents; and numerous brothers and sisters.
She is survived by 8 children, Clarence J. Nelson, Jr of Woodstock, AL, Linda Estes (Ronald) of Greeneville, TN, Mary Ann Jones (Michael) of Birmingham, AL, Janice R. Joy of Ocean Springs, Cathy Grimsley (Russell) of Gulfport, Michael Carroll (Beth) of West Blockton, AL, Preston Carroll (Debbie) of Hurdle Mills, NC, and Teddy Carroll of Biloxi; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a brother, Marshall Collins of Fairfield, CA.
A devoted Christian, she was a member of Bible Baptist Church, Gulfport. Her passion was cooking and she enjoyed canning pickles and jellies.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Woodstock, Woodstock, AL, with a visitation from 11:00 AM until the service. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, West Blockton, AL.
