Nell Stephenson Penton Rogers, age 77 and a resident of Long Beach, died on Saturday, October 18, 2008, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Rogers was a native and lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast and was a member of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Rogers is preceded in death by her parents, Walter & Ida Favre Stephenson; her husband, Wilton Lavon Penton, Sr.; her sons, Baby Boy Parker, Danny """"DP"""", and Wayne; a grandson, John Daniel, Jr., and a sister, Gladys.
She is survived by her son, Wilton Penton, Jr. of Pass Christian; her daughters, Kathy (Johnny) Brock of Gulfport, Stephanie Penton Hudson of Pass Christian, and Gail Garrett (Clarence) Cuevas of Pass Christian; her brothers, Cecil Stephenson of Columbia, MS and Buddy Stephenson of Pass Christian; her sisters, Bea Windham of Long Beach and Delorse Jones of Nashville, TN; her 16 grandchildren, Danny, Jr., Deanna, Patrick, Brandi, Christy, Michael, Ashlee, Jade, Magdelina, Marvin, Michelle, Jason, Felicia, Jared, Sr., Crystal, and Joseph; 28 great grandchildren and her loving and devoted companion, her poodle, Tiffany.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Allen Cemetery in Long Beach. For more information, please call (228)539-9800.
