Nelda L. Doss

Nelda L. Doss, 81, retired RN at Gulfport Memorial Hospital, departed this life December 17, 2010 after a brief illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, MSGT. Norman Doss and by her sister, Pamela Vance.
She is mourned by her children and their families, daughter Gail Doss and her husband Joseph Lipman; son David Doss and his wife Maria Christman-Doss, and their daughter Grace Doss; son Robert Doss and his wife Baranda; and son James Doss; her sister, Louise Sanders; and her brother Kenneth Roberts.
Nelda Doss was an active member of Handsboro United Methodist Church and often sang in its choir and volunteered in other capacities. She was a generous woman who contributed to several charities. Her joy was her church and her family, who loved her deeply.
The funeral service will be on Monday, December 20, 2010, at 11:00 am, with visitation for family and friends from 9:00 am until service time, at Handsboro United Methodist Church, corner of Ford St and Demaret Dr., Gulfport.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Gardens Cemetery, 28th St. Gulfport.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests be made to American Heart Association, Humane Society of South Mississippi, or the charity of your choice.
The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport assisted the family with arrangements.
