Neil Cuevas

Neil Joseph Cuevas, age 88, of Long Beach, died Sunday, September 28, 2008 in Pass Christian.
He was born in Catahoula, MS and remained a lifelong resident of the coast. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Long Beach and was retired from Coast Materials as a foreman. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and enjoyed gardening and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Cuevas; his son, John Jerry Cuevas; parents, Claude and Norine Cuevas; and 2 sisters, Ouida Mae Stiglet and Lillie Bobinger and 2 brothers: Romar Cuevas and Curtis Cuevas.
Survivors include his son, Cornell (Patsy) Cuevas; 1 sister, Bernice Thompson; 5 grandchildren: Cynthia (Ricky) Cupps, Gary (Haleigh) Cuevas, Greg (Alissa) Cuevas, Jason Cuevas, and Jeffery Cuevas; and 9 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 10 am Tuesday at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach. The visitation will be from 9 - 10 am.
Interment will be in Evergreen Gardens Cemetery.
