Nancy Weekley

Nancy Carol Weekley, age 76 of Saucier, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021.

She was born in Houston, TX and was a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for the majority of her life.  Nancy was a graduate of Harrison Central High School Class of 1964.  She married her high school sweetheart in 1965 before starting a family in 1966.  She was a devoted and loving mother and always put her family before herself.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Michael Brian “Tinker” Weekley, father Kenneth Ray Hoadley of Beaumont, TX, mother Toledo Ivon Henry of Gulfport, MS, sister Iris Gwendolyn Charles (Prentisss) of Ruston, LA and brother Lawrence Hoadley of Beaumont, TX.  She is survived by her sons David Michael Weekley (Michelle) of Powder Springs, GA and Darryl Shane Weekley (Lori) of Petal, MS, and sister Beverly Rae Lehan (Bob) of Purvis, MS.

Nancy loved to cook southern dishes, as well as treat the family to Gumbo every Christmas from a 100+ year old family recipe that has been handed down through the years.  She was considered the “Life of the Party” and knew how to enjoy life.  She will be missed by those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation and services on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Saucier United Methodist Church, 24135 Church Ave., Saucier, MS.  Visitation will be held from 12 to 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.   Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.

Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport is serving the family.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Saucier United Methodist Church, Saucier.
