Nancy, a resident of Gulfport, MS, was a native of Terre Haute, IN and graduated from Otter Creek High School. She retired in 1998 as the secretary of the Iron Workers Local 439 in Terre Haute. She also spent many years working in the business office at both Union and Regional Hospitals in Terre Haute.
She deeply loved her grandchildren, watching sports, cooking and her constant companion, Ivy. She also loved keeping up with her beloved extended family via Facebook.
Nancy courageously battled Parkinson's disease for almost two decades. She fought bravely and never let the chronic shaking define her. She had a quick wit and sense of humor, which continued even into the final hours of her life. Nancy, through her life, taught all of us so much about love, forgiveness and the deep responsibility we have to care for one another.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held on July 1, 2017 from 12 Noon until 3:00 p.m. at the German Oberlander Club in Terre Haute, IN.
