Nancy Welch Spayde

Nancy Welch Spayde, age 75, of Long Beach, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Spayde lived most of her life on the coast and was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She was also a member and past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. Nancy loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed her retirement years from the Long Beach School District by traveling the country with her dearest friends. Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Brewer and Marguerite Stephens Welch.
Survivors include her loving husband, Bobby Spayde, her children, Craig (Regina) Spayde, Ricky (Debbie) Spayde, and Sean Spayde, 6 grandchildren, Dustin, Devin, Jillian, Brewer, Logan, and Koby Spayde, a brother, James William Welch, and a sister, Stephanie Welch Bass, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 13, 2012, from 11 am - 1 pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 E Beach Blvd., Long Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm in the church sanctuary.
Burial will be in the Biloxi National Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston TX, St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach, MS, or your favorite charity.
