Nancy Ann Sison

Nancy Ann Sison, age 63, of Gulfport, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Eva Carpenter; and her sister, Deborah Carpenter.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 39 years, Kevin Sison; her mother and father-in-law, Jeanette and Phil Chedotal; her children, Kelly Tinson (Bobby), Ryan Sison (Katie), and Chad Sison (Amanda H.); her siblings, Diana Jones (Michael), David Carpenter, Robin Madison (Wayne), and Jodie Vogel (Brad); and grandchildren, Robert Tinson, Jr., Kailey Ann Tinson, Addison Sison, Hudson Ray Sison, Miley Schmidt, Briley Schmidt, and Raiden Sison; brother-in-law, Ted Sison (Donna); sister-in-law, Dawn Duhe; former brother-in-law, Buddy Duhe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nancy was a native of Saratoga Springs, New York. She worked for 4-years at the Charleston Naval Hospital as a Hospital Corpsman Third Class, and several years active duty in the Naval Reserves. Nancy worked as a registered nurse for UMMC Children’s Hospital of Mississippi and had a total of 44 years in her nursing career.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Allison Wall, Dr. Jennifer Scalici, Kare-In-Home Health & Hospice, and to her sister, Jodie.

Services will be Thursday, February 23, 2023, with visitation from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m., and funeral service at 9:30 a.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd. Gulfport, MS. Committal services will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave. Biloxi, MS.
