Nancy Mejia

Nancy Marina Mejia, age 53, passed away peacefully August 18th, 2019.  She was born August 24th, 1965 in Bronx, New York to Carmen Burrows.  She is preceded in death by grandmother Rosa Gonzales, grandfather Jesus Quiñones and step-sister Vicky Burrows.
Nancy is survived by mother Carmen Burrows, father Jerry Burrows, and siblings Wilma (William) Bray, Mary Ann Richmond, Geri Burrows Holmes, and Fred Burrows.  She was the beloved Aunt of Louis (Pushpa) Hernandez, Chamila (Brian) Brown, Stacy Stewart, Wendy Stewart, Sarah (Jason) Albritton, Leah (Chris) Riordan, Matthew Blain and great aunt to several grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. She is also deeply mourned by her beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Nancy's natural beauty allowed for modeling which eventually led her to hospitality services. Nancy proved to be a natural in hospitality and attended Pace University in New York City to hone her skills.  She worked her way up to a career at the famed Plaza Hotel in New York City. She eventually brought her talents to the Gulf Coast, to be closer to her parents, where she excelled in management and hospitality services.
Nancy will be remembered by her family and friends as a loving and vibrant soul who could make anyone feel at ease.  We will miss her beautiful smile, natural wit, and kind heart.
Nancy's Memorial Service will be held at Biloxi River Baptist Church, 13340 Rene Ave. Gulfport, MS 39503 on Saturday, August 24th, with visitation at 1 pm and service at 2 pm.
