Nancy McGill

Nancy Sharon Ladner McGill, age 67 of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, September 10th, 2020, after 8+ months of battling cancer.

Born February 21, 1953, Nancy worked as a general contractor and a real estate agent until her retirement. She then spent her years managing her rental properties. She enjoyed tending to her many plants, leisurely bird watching, cooking for family, and photographing family memories. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Levan Ladner and Hannah Ladner Phillips; her sister, Brenda Cheshire; her ex husband, with whom she remained close, William “Chico” McGill; and her son, Jeremiah Dustin McGill.

She is survived by her 4 daughters, Tammy Devin, Crystal Hermann, Meghan McGill, and Mollie Glass; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 1 great grandchild on the way; 5 siblings, Mary Jean Knight, Dickie Joe Ladner, Ernest “Sonny Boy” Ladner, Elaine Elkins, and Bridget Hutchinson; and a large extended family.

Due to the upcoming weather, the funeral will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 17, 2020, at Persimmon Hill Baptist Church, Saucier, with a visitation from 1:00 PM until the service. Interment will follow at Persimmon Hill Cemetery.
